The DC Department of Energy & Environment (DOEE) is offering funding through the "Education on Residential Energy Efficiency and Electrification" grant to engage residents—particularly low-income households and disadvantaged communities—on energy efficiency and electrification. This initiative also aims to provide technical assistance on accessing local and federal programs and incentives related to residential energy efficiency. Approximately $50,000 is available for this project.
Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) status, faith-based organizations, universities or educational institutions, and private enterprises. Proposals should focus on meaningful resident engagement and education, aiming to promote awareness and facilitate the adoption of energy-efficient and electrification practices in the community.
The application deadline is January 24, 2025, by 11:59 PM, and applications must be submitted through the DOEE’s Grants Application Portal.
