The "Basic Education Activity in Tajikistan" grant is a USAID initiative aimed at improving the country's education system by addressing challenges like lack of learning resources, bullying, and STEM education, and providing psychosocial support for students affected by poverty, migration, or family issues.

Description

USAID/Tajikistan is exploring a new initiative aimed at improving basic education in the country. Building on previous education projects such as the USAID Quality Reading Project, USAID Read with Me, and USAID Learn Together Activity, the proposed activity will focus on strengthening the education system and enhancing learning outcomes. This project aims to address key challenges in the education sector, such as gaps in learning resources, bullying, emotional intelligence, and STEM education, while also incorporating psychosocial support for students impacted by poverty, migration, or family issues. Stakeholders are invited to provide input to shape the design of this program, which may lead to a formal solicitation or Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO).
