Description
The Environmental Response Fund (ERF) provides grants to support the assessment and cleanup of contaminated sites, commonly known as brownfields, in Ramsey County. These grants help offset the costs associated with environmental challenges that arise during redevelopment, ensuring that projects can move forward safely and sustainably.

For-profit developers
Non-profit organizations
Please note, ERF grants are not available to non-local government entities that are responsible for the contamination.
How to Apply:
Applications are accepted twice a year during these periods:
March 15 - May 1
September 15 - November 1
Applicants requesting funds for building demolition or deconstruction must include a waste management plan with their proposal. Additionally, a letter or resolution of support from the relevant local unit of government must be provided.
