Description
The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) offers community grants of up to $50,000 to support improvements to fire stations, community centers, sports fields, libraries, and other facilities, and to provide updated gear and equipment for emergency responders. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, volunteer fire departments, emergency responders, local governments, schools, libraries, civic groups, and museums. Applications for the next grant cycle are open from July 1 to July 31, 2024. Most grants are for $25,000 or less, but a few grants of up to $50,000 are awarded each cycle. Projects must benefit an entire community and improve a capital asset by building, renovating, or purchasing equipment.
