Description
gBETA Future of Mobility is a national startup accelerator program designed to support early-stage companies focused on transportation, delivery, and safety. Hosted in Indianapolis, Indiana, the program is structured as a free, seven-week accelerator that provides startups with mentorship, business coaching, and networking opportunities with investors and industry leaders. Each cohort is limited to five companies selected through a competitive application process. The program is supported by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation and aims to help startups refine their business models, scale their sales efforts, and prepare for investment opportunities.
The program’s primary goal is to assist startups working on autonomous vehicle technology, clean-driving or electric vehicles, road infrastructure development, highway maintenance and management, highway safety innovations, and transportation or logistics supply chain improvements. Participants benefit from weekly mentor sessions, investor pitch opportunities, and over $1 million in perks from vendors such as IBM Cloud, Amazon, PayPal, Microsoft, and others. At the conclusion of the program, startups engage in curated investor meetings and a showcase event to present their progress and business strategies.
Eligible participants must demonstrate a commitment of at least 5-7 hours per week for program activities and be open to coaching, mentorship, and investor discussions. Applicants should either be generating sales or be in a position to scale their business model. While no investment is made during the program, the accelerator aims to position participants for future fundraising opportunities.
The program follows a structured timeline, beginning with a kickoff event that includes team-building exercises and mentorship introductions. Over the following six weeks, startups participate in two weekly strategy meetings, educational Lunch & Learn sessions, and mentor networking events known as Mentor Swarms. The final week consists of curated investor pitch meetings with over 25 investors and a showcase event featuring live pitches and networking.
The upcoming program cycle, gBETA Indiana Future of Mobility Winter 2025, is accepting applications until March 28, 2025. The program kicks off on April 17, 2025, and concludes on April 18, 2025. While based in Indianapolis, the program includes both in-person and virtual components, allowing companies from across the U.S. to participate.
Post-program, gBETA continues to support graduates through alumni resources, conferences, and curated investor pitch sessions. The program is operated by gener8tor, a nationally ranked accelerator, and maintains an ongoing commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship within the transportation industry.
