Funding for these grants is made possible by contributions from individuals, businesses, and foundations through the United Way Campaign.

Applicants can seek funding under one of three streams: Strategic Investment Grants, Basic Needs Grants, and Innovation Grants. Each funding category targets specific areas of need, with Strategic Investment Grants supporting established programs, Basic Needs Grants addressing immediate essential services, and Innovation Grants fostering new or creative solutions to persistent community challenges. Programs must demonstrate alignment with one of the Impact2032 Vision Statements and show a commitment to the vision’s goals.

UWKV emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) as integral to its mission and funding priorities. Impact2032 was developed with attention to inclusive strategies that ensure all community members are considered, and the organization actively disaggregates data to identify and address existing inequities. Programs that tackle disparities and work to promote equity in health, education, or economic stability are particularly encouraged to apply.
