Description
The Roofsit 2024 grant program, administered by Prevent Child Abuse St. Joseph County, seeks proposals from nonprofit organizations dedicated to child abuse prevention within the U93 listening area. This region includes St. Joseph, LaPorte, and Elkhart counties in Indiana, as well as Cass and Berrien counties in Michigan. The total grant funding available will be based on the proceeds from Roofsit 2024, with most awards typically being $5,000 or less. Organizations may submit multiple applications and request any amount.
Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits that provide child abuse and neglect prevention services. The proposal should consist of up to three pages, detailing the organization’s history, the project’s scope, expected outcomes, and a plan for evaluating the success of prevention efforts. A budget for the project and a cover letter signed by the executive director are also required. Applicants must include their IRS determination letter and be prepared to share at least one client success story during Roofsit 2025.
The deadline for proposal submission is November 15, 2024, with notifications sent by December 15, 2024. Grant funds will be distributed by December 31, 2024. Applications should be emailed to Deanna Kopec, with "Roofsit RFP" in the subject line.
