Disaster Recovery National Dislocated Worker Grants to Address the Opioid Crisis
This funding is designed to support workforce development initiatives that help individuals affected by the opioid crisis find employment and receive job training services.
Description
The Trade Adjustment Assistance for Workers (TAA) Program aims to provide aid to workers who have lost their jobs or had their hours or wages reduced as a result of foreign trade. The program offers a range of benefits and services to help eligible workers prepare for and obtain suitable employment. This includes job training, income support, job search and relocation allowances, and assistance with healthcare premium costs. State and local workforce agencies implement the TAA Program and ensure participants have access to a comprehensive array of reemployment services through American Job Centers. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
