The 3% Occupancy Tax Program seeks to expand Chautauqua County’s visibility on a regional scale creating interest in, demand for, and awareness of the tourism and recreation opportunities within the County. Projects should show the potential for increasing overall visitation, especially overnight stays, within Chautauqua County. Your project should also emphasize a new or significantly advanced effort into niche experiences that will enhance visitor interest in the County. Projects should involve cooperative or collaborative efforts among communities, attractions, or events. The potential for your project to leverage public/private investment, and capability for long term sustainability is also essential.
