The Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) has issued a Uniform Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Epilepsy Program (250). This funding opportunity aims to provide education, coordination, advocacy, and supportive services for individuals with epilepsy and their families in Illinois. The program is designed to ensure comprehensive and accessible services to support individuals not receiving Home and Community-Based Waiver services.

A total of $3,000,000 in funding is available, with an expected 2 to 5 awards. Individual grant amounts are negotiable, and prior awards have averaged $428,571 per grantee. The funding is state-funded, and cost-sharing or matching funds are not required. Indirect costs are allowed but require prior approval.

Applications must be submitted between March 3, 2025, and April 4, 2025, at 5:00 PM CST. Late applications will not be accepted. The anticipated award announcement date is June 6, 2025, and the grant period is expected to begin July 1, 2025, running for up to three years, contingent on renewal and funding availability.
