This grant provides funding to small nonprofit organizations in New Mexico that deliver essential services to children in underserved communities, with a focus on initiatives addressing unmet needs for those aged 18 and younger.
Description
The New Mexico Children’s Foundation (NMCF) provides annual grant funding to support small nonprofit organizations that serve children across New Mexico, particularly those operating in underserved and rural communities. The foundation’s mission is to strengthen the impact of these organizations by providing critical financial resources to programs addressing unmet needs for children aged 18 or younger.
Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations based in New Mexico with an annual total budget of $400,000 or less. While granting priority is given to rural programs, all New Mexico children’s organizations meeting the eligibility criteria are welcome to apply, whether for new programs or expansions of existing programs.
The maximum funding request should not exceed $10,000. Grants can be used for operating expenses in addition to specific program costs. The application period for the 2025–2026 grant cycle has closed, with selected grantees scheduled to receive notification of funding in May 2025 and disbursement of funds in June 2025. Applications for the next cycle will reopen in 2026.
