The Enterline Foundation Grant Program 2025
This grant provides funding to nonprofit organizations that support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by improving the recruitment and retention of direct support professionals.
Description
The Enterline Foundation focuses on increasing access to services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) through its 2025 grantmaking initiatives. Recognizing the critical role of a stable direct support professional (DSP) workforce in service delivery, the foundation will prioritize funding projects that enhance DSP recruitment and retention. Eligible initiatives include internship programs, training and professional development, career ladder establishment, employee support systems, organizational culture improvements, and innovative uses of technology for data collection and workforce engagement.
The foundation offers two types of grants. Single-year grants provide up to $25,000 and are open through a competitive application process to organizations with annual operating budgets under $10 million. Multi-year grants, capped at $75,000 over three years, are by invitation only and focus on capacity-building projects designed to enhance organizational efficiency, expand service capacity, or address unmet needs. Applications for both grant types must clearly demonstrate their potential to improve access to services for individuals with IDD.
Eligibility criteria require applicants to be 501(c)(3) nonprofits that provide services to individuals with IDD or support the broader IDD sector. Organizations must have been operational for at least two years, employ at least one full-time staff member, and meet reporting requirements for previous grants. Applications focused on political, religious, or unrelated thematic areas are not eligible. The foundation also does not fund endowments, scholarships, or operating deficits.
Applications for single-year grants are due by 8 PM EST on January 31, 2025, and must be submitted through the foundation’s online portal, which does not support saving progress. Applicants are encouraged to draft responses using the downloadable application preview before completing the form online. Multi-year grant applications will be provided directly to selected organizations.
The foundation plans to award 7–10 single-year grants and up to two multi-year grants. Decisions will be communicated in May 2025, with funds distributed shortly thereafter. Applicants must adhere to word limits in the application and include a project budget form. Grant recipients will be required to submit a final report using forms specified in the grant agreement.
