Description
The American Legion Child Welfare Foundation (CWF) aims to contribute to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual welfare of children and youth. The foundation supports research, programs, and activities that align with this mission. Eligible projects include those that benefit children nationally or in a large geographic area, focusing on specific objectives within one calendar year, from January 1 to December 31. Grants are available exclusively to nonprofit, tax-exempt organizations, and cannot be used for regular operational costs, consultant fees, or construction projects. The foundation emphasizes that grants should not be used for materials in languages other than English, and are not to match government funds or support individual research for academic degrees. Applications must be submitted by July 15, with decisions announced by late October.
