CHA Health Grant Program
This program provides funding to nonprofit organizations and educational institutions in western Montana for health-related projects focused on rehabilitation services and public health education.
Description
The Community Health Alliance’s Health Grants Program supports nonprofit organizations and educational institutions engaged in advancing health in western Montana. Through donor partnerships, the program provides targeted funding for health-related projects, specifically in the areas of rehabilitation services and public health education. The grants are disbursed in two cycles each year—spring and fall—to maximize community reach and impact.
For the Spring 2025 cycle, applications open on March 17, 2025, and must be submitted by the deadline of May 13, 2025. Grants awarded during this cycle will be distributed in June 2025. Online submission is strongly preferred, although hard copy applications can be submitted upon request by contacting the Community Health Alliance directly. First-time applicants are encouraged to contact the organization for guidance before applying.
This cycle includes two distinct funding categories:
Rehabilitation Services, supported by the Gavin Family Endowment, provides funding for quality rehabilitation services and educational activities that help restore health in western Montanans. A total of $30,000 is available in this category, and the maximum individual grant amount is $10,000.
Public Health Education, funded by the Minerva Society and Community Conversation donors, supports educational outreach efforts to raise public awareness and engagement with pressing health issues in the region. This category has $2,000 available, with a maximum grant amount of $1,000 per project.
All awarded projects must align with the organization’s mission to enhance health outcomes in the community. The program has a proven track record of supporting a diverse range of organizations since 2016, including hospitals, educational centers, nonprofits focusing on pediatric and senior care, as well as health advocacy and awareness groups.
Grant recipients are required to submit a final report within 45 days of completing their funded project. The organization will send reminder emails, and grantees can submit their reports through the designated online portal. Questions regarding reporting should be directed to brendap@communityhealthwmt.org or by calling 406-926-2522.
