The WITH Foundation provides financial support to organizations that promote comprehensive healthcare for adults with developmental disabilities. The foundation aims to improve healthcare access, provider competency, and systemic advocacy efforts related to developmental disabilities. It offers funding through three annual grant cycles, including two open cycles and one Request for Proposals (RFP) cycle. Applications must align with the foundation's mission and address a clear, identifiable need. Organizations applying must have tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status as recognized by the Internal Revenue Service.

WITH Foundation grants are available nationwide, though applications from the San Francisco Bay Area may receive preferential consideration. However, organizations and programs based outside the United States are not eligible. The foundation provides grants of up to $150,000 for general projects and up to $250,000 for research-focused initiatives. These grants typically support one-year projects but may extend up to three years, subject to annual review.

The foundation supports programs that enhance healthcare delivery for adults with developmental disabilities. Priority areas include improving healthcare practitioner competency, addressing inadequate reimbursement systems, advancing innovations in care coordination, promoting supported decision-making in healthcare settings, and encouraging digital health efforts that incorporate the perspectives of the developmental disability community. Social policy research and initiatives aimed at overcoming barriers to healthcare access are also eligible. General operating support is only available for past grantees who have previously received project funding.

Certain areas are excluded from funding. These include therapies provided outside formal healthcare settings, targeted therapeutic interventions such as occupational and speech therapy, programs focusing solely on direct support professionals, and requests for transportation vehicles. The foundation does not fund political campaigns, capital campaigns, endowments, individual medical services, or indirect expenses exceeding 28% of the total funding request.

For the current grant cycle, applicants must submit a Letter of Interest (LOI) by April 17, 2025, at 5:00 PM PDT. Those invited to proceed must submit a full proposal by May 30, 2025. Follow-up meetings for selected applicants will take place between late July and early August 2025, with funding decisions announced by September 19, 2025. Grant funds will be disbursed via electronic payment in early October 2025. The foundation has firm deadlines and does not allow extensions.
