Description
This grant opportunity is called the Tribal College Initiative Grants and is provided by the Rural Business-Cooperative Service, Rural Housing Service, and Rural Utilities Service under the United States Department of Agriculture. The program aims to provide funding to 1994 Land Grant Institutions (Tribal Colleges) for capital improvements to their educational facilities and the purchase of equipment. Eligible projects include infrastructure improvements, equipment purchases, and the development of essential community facilities such as schools, education equipment, libraries, dorms, renovation and improvements, vehicles and major equipment, and education and cultural projects. The grants can provide up to $250,000 per land grant institution, covering up to 95% of the project cost. A 5% match is required, and partnerships with other federal, state, local, private, and non-profit entities are encouraged.
