Description
The Nonprofit Security Grant Fund Program, administered by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD), is now accepting applications for the Fall FY24-25 cycle. With a total of $10 million available, the program aims to enhance the safety and security of nonprofit organizations in Pennsylvania that primarily serve individuals or groups vulnerable to hate crimes. Eligible projects include security planning, equipment purchases, and structural upgrades. Applications are due by August 27, 2024, at 11:45 PM.
The program was established under Act 83 of 2019, and eligible applicants must be Pennsylvania-based nonprofits serving communities identified in the FBI’s Hate Crime Statistics. Grants range from $5,000 to $150,000, with varying non-state financial participation requirements based on the requested amount. The program, contingent on annual funding appropriations, is slated to continue until July 1, 2029.
