The FY26 State Police Revocation Enforcement grant, administered by the Illinois State Police, is part of the Violent Crime Intelligence Task Force FOID Grant program. This initiative is focused on combating gun violence, gun trafficking, and other violent crimes through a multi-jurisdictional task force led by the Illinois State Police. The primary goals of the task force are to preserve life, reduce crime and fear of crime, and address firearm-related homicides and illegal firearm possession. Additionally, the grant supports the investigation and resolution of firearm-related crimes.
The funding amount for this opportunity is $1,000,000, exclusively sourced from the State of Illinois. Eligible applicants include county governments and city or township governments that are willing to become members of the Violent Crime Intelligence Task Force. Participating agencies must also have access to the Illinois State Police Law Enforcement Portal. The minimum award amount is $2,000, and the maximum is $1,000,000, with funding provided on a non-competitive basis. Indirect costs are not allowed, and this is not a capital grant.
Applications will be accepted starting January 5, 2025, at 6:00 AM CST, and the deadline for submission is April 11, 2025, at 5:00 PM CDT. Reporting requirements include monthly performance reports and quarterly financial reports, both of which must be submitted through the AmpliFund platform within seven days of the reporting period's end. Reports must include specific data entered into the system, along with an uploaded Excel spreadsheet. Grant participants are responsible for maintaining compliance with administrative and national policy requirements throughout the funding period.
The grant performance period begins on July 1, 2025, and ends on June 30, 2026. State award announcements are expected by June 1, 2025, with formal agreements issued no later than July 1, 2025. All applications must comply with Illinois statutes governing law enforcement funding. Technical assistance sessions are not offered for this grant opportunity.
