This funding opportunity provides financial support to nonprofit organizations, schools, municipalities, and tribal entities serving the communities of Page/Lake Powell, Tuba City, and Williams, Arizona, for projects that address local needs and enhance community services.
The Page/Lake Powell, Tuba City, and Williams Grant Cycle is a funding opportunity administered by the Arizona Community Foundation of Flagstaff, an affiliate of the Arizona Community Foundation (ACF). The grant is designed to support nonprofit organizations and other eligible entities that serve residents within the specific geographic areas of Page/Lake Powell, Tuba City, and Williams, Arizona. The funding is aimed at projects and programs that align with community needs, including direct service projects, capacity building, capital expenditures, and general operating support.
The grant cycle opens on March 5, 2025, at 9:00 AM, and applications must be submitted by March 26, 2025, at 4:00 PM (Arizona Time). No exceptions will be made for late submissions. Interested applicants are highly encouraged to attend at least one of the Grant Application Workshops scheduled for February 11 (in-person, Williams), February 12 (virtual), and February 27 (virtual). The grant award and decline letters will be sent via email by May 16, 2025, and grant funds will be distributed by the end of May 2025. All awarded applicants must submit a Final Report by May 31, 2026.
Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, schools, municipalities, or tribal entities that operate with fiscal responsibility. Religious organizations may apply, but only for non-sectarian programs. Organizations must also comply with ACF’s non-discrimination policy and maintain an updated organizational profile in the ACF grants system. Each organization is permitted to submit only one application per grant cycle. If a grant writer is submitting applications for multiple organizations, they must notify the ACF regional office before the deadline.
The funding request range for this opportunity is $250 to $5,000, and funding decisions will be based on available resources from the Community Foundation’s Unrestricted and Field of Interest Funds. Not all applicants will be funded, and some may receive only partial funding. Funds may be used for capacity-building initiatives, direct services, capital expenditures, and administrative costs, with the possibility of one-year or renewable funding (though second-year funding is not guaranteed).
Applications will be reviewed by a local grant review committee, which evaluates proposals based on criteria such as mission alignment, community impact, project feasibility, collaboration, and budget justification. Applicants are encouraged to review the Grant Reviewer Rubric to understand the scoring process.
