Description
The Granville County Community Foundation (GCCF), an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation (NCCF), invites local charitable organizations to apply for its 2025 grant cycle. Since its establishment in 1997, GCCF has worked to build permanent endowments and provide impactful grants that serve the residents of Granville County, North Carolina. The Foundation is led by a local volunteer advisory board and serves as a vital partner for donors and a consistent source of support for local causes.
The 2025 grant application window will open on April 4, 2025, and close at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Eastern Time on May 6, 2025. Late applications, including those delayed due to technical issues, will not be accepted. All applications must be submitted through the NCCF’s online grants portal. New applicants must create an organizational profile following the steps in NCCF’s “Training Module I,” while returning applicants may log in using their existing credentials and follow “Training Module II” for submitting a new application.
Grants typically range from $1,000 to $4,000 and support qualified 501(c)(3) organizations serving Granville County. In 2024, the Foundation awarded more than $23,350 through this competitive process. Funding for the 2025 cycle will be distributed from several endowment sources, including the Martha Frances Pruitt Endowment Fund, the Dr. and Mrs. C. Bryan Finch Endowment, and the Annette Clark Endowment.
The grants aim to meet critical community needs identified through an annual community needs assessment, which is available at the bottom of the GCCF website. This assessment helps guide decision-making by the volunteer board. Applicants are encouraged to align their proposals with identified community priorities for a stronger chance of selection. Final decisions are typically announced approximately two months after the application deadline.
For questions about the application process, applicants are encouraged to contact the designated Program Officer through the NCCF. Technical assistance and application guidelines are provided on the NCCF website, along with details about the application portal.
