2025 Imagine Learning Grant for Impactful Change
This grant provides funding to national nonprofit organizations that promote the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of students, families, and educators across the United States.
Description
The Imagine Learning Foundation (ILF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing student well-being beyond the classroom by supporting families, educators, and communities. While affiliated with Imagine Learning, the foundation operates independently to fund programs that improve social, mental, and physical well-being. Since its inception in 2021, ILF has awarded over $1.2 million in grants to 29 organizations, impacting more than 413,000 students in 1,700 communities across the United States. These grants address various issues, including homelessness, mental health, and student well-being.
The Imagine Learning Foundation's Signature Grant Program funds national nonprofit organizations that align with its mission of expanding student well-being beyond the classroom. These grants support initiatives focused on fostering the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of students, families, and educators. Additionally, ILF supports research on the impact of social and emotional health on student achievement. Applications for the 2025 Signature Grant Program opened on February 24, 2025, and will close on April 9, 2025, at 11:59 PM PST. Award recipients will be announced in June 2025, with grant awards distributed in July 2025.
In addition to the Signature Grants, the Imagine Learning Foundation provides Grassroots Grants, which are available to Imagine Learning employees throughout the year. These grants fund smaller initiatives supporting out-of-classroom learning and student well-being. The application process and deadlines for these grants are communicated internally within the organization.
ILF's past grant recipients include organizations such as Erika’s Lighthouse and Up2Us Sports. Erika’s Lighthouse focuses on adolescent mental health awareness, while Up2Us Sports trains coaches to use sports as a tool for social and emotional development. The 2024 Signature Grant recipients collectively received $500,000 to address student housing insecurity and absenteeism, while the 2023 recipients received $400,000 for programs enhancing student well-being.
ILF evaluates the impact of its grants through research studies and surveys, measuring both the reach and effectiveness of funded programs. By continuously assessing its initiatives, ILF ensures that its funding directly benefits students, families, and educators. The foundation also partners with other organizations to amplify its impact and support scalable, community-driven solutions.
