The Youth Philanthropy Council (YPC), an initiative of the Community Foundation of Central Blue Ridge, offers $30,000 in grant funding for nonprofit organizations in Staunton, Waynesboro, and Augusta County, Virginia. This funding opportunity prioritizes programs and services that address homelessness, meet basic needs, and ensure access to mental health resources, including substance abuse prevention and treatment. The grant focuses on initiatives that uphold the dignity of all community members and provide equitable solutions. Basic needs include access to food, clothing, hygiene products, childcare, school supplies, internet connectivity, and transportation to access these resources.
The YPC, established in 2008, empowers local high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors to practice philanthropic leadership through grantmaking.
