Description

The Georgia Foundation for Public Education (GFPE) is offering the Early Literacy Alignment Mini Grant (ELA Mini Grant) to support rural Georgia public elementary schools. This grant provides up to $5,000 to schools aiming to establish strategic partnerships with local child care programs to align literacy practices. The goal is to facilitate a smooth transition for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students by engaging in collaborative professional learning that strengthens vertical alignment in literacy instruction between early care providers and elementary schools. The selected programs must focus on early literacy to ensure students enter school with strong foundational skills. An informational webinar is scheduled for September 10, 2024, at 12 p.m., with the Request for Application (RFA) anticipated for release on September 16, 2024.
