The Ready, Set, Go! (RSG) Grant Program aims to assist destinations within Wisconsin in attracting competitive sporting events that necessitate an upfront cash or financial commitment. This initiative seeks to give Wisconsin destinations a competitive advantage in the sports marketing niche, which is one of the fastest-growing sectors. The program offers matching grants from a fund of $110,000 per fiscal year, with each destination/request eligible for up to 50% of a bid fee or other allowable site/venue/municipal fees, with a cap of $30,000 during the State fiscal year. The grant specifically excludes funding for in-state events that are regularly scheduled or rotate destinations within the state, and organizations that receive earmarked funding or apply for a Joint Effort Marketing grant for the same project within the same fiscal year are ineligible.
