MasarTech Fund 2025
This funding opportunity supports individuals and organizations working to improve sexual and reproductive health and rights for marginalized communities in the WANA region through innovative digital strategies.
Description
The MasarTech Fund 2025, hosted by SMEX, invites proposals from individuals, activists, and organizations focusing on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). This initiative seeks to leverage digital technologies to advance SRHR policies and practices, particularly benefiting marginalized communities in the WANA region. The fund supports advocacy, campaigning, capacity strengthening, and innovative strategies that merge SRHR with digital rights.
Grants of up to $25,000 are available for projects lasting up to six months. Applicants must provide a detailed budget, logical framework, and concept note, with responsibility for implementation, management, and reporting. SMEX will assist in reporting and offer guidance for those without organizational policies.
The fund is open to women- and youth-led entities—both formal and informal, registered or unregistered—across Egypt, Tunisia, Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq. Applicants must demonstrate a feminist approach and serve marginalized groups such as LGBTQIA+ communities, persons with disabilities, migrant workers, and refugees. Independence from Masarouna is required.
The selection process includes proposal evaluations, virtual interviews, and potentially a second interview for deeper assessment. Proposals must address specific SRHR challenges, highlight gaps, and use inclusive terminology.
Applications are due by November 25, 2024, with stringent security measures in place to protect all participants. Interested candidates can apply online, adhering to SMEX's guidelines and policies.
