This funding opportunity supports nonprofit organizations in Texas that are focused on improving community health and wellness by addressing social determinants of health through various targeted initiatives.
Description
The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) Blue Impact℠ Grant Program supports nonprofit organizations working to improve community health and wellness across Texas. The program emphasizes addressing social determinants of health (SDOH) through five pillars: economic opportunity and stability, nutrition, neighborhood and built environment, locally defined health solutions, and optimal health outcomes. Grants range from $25,000 to $75,000 and are intended to support sustainable, measurable programs that address gaps in care and community needs. Capital campaigns are not eligible for funding under this program.
The 2025-2026 grant cycle runs from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. The application process begins with a Letter of Intent (LOI) phase from January 20 to February 10, 2025. Organizations selected after the LOI phase will be invited to submit a full proposal between March 13 and March 28, 2025. Sponsorships, a separate funding option for smaller community events, range from $250 to $5,000 and are available throughout 2025.
