Eligible applicants must be recognized as 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations or government entities or subdivisions thereof. Individual requests are not eligible for consideration.
Organizations interested in applying for a grant must first submit an initial inquiry that includes an overview of the organization, a description of the proposed project, and the amount of funding requested. This inquiry should be directed to the foundation’s president, Mary Kate Wilson, via email at info@somfardmore.org or by mail at P.O. Box 1409, Ardmore, OK 73402. After reviewing the inquiry, the foundation will send an official grant application via email to qualifying organizations.
Grant applications must be submitted by specific deadlines, which are March 1, June 1, September 1, and December 1. Funding decisions are made approximately eight weeks after each deadline by the Board of Trustees. This structured review process ensures that all applicants receive fair consideration for funding.
Organizations seeking more information or clarification regarding the application process are encouraged to contact the foundation by phone at (580) 226-0700. The foundation staff is available to assist applicants and provide guidance regarding the application process.
