South Windsor Public Education Fund Grant Program
This grant provides funding to South Windsor Public School staff for innovative projects that enhance student learning and promote academic excellence beyond what the Board of Education can finance.
Description
The South Windsor Public Education Fund (SWPEF) is currently accepting grant applications for their Grant Program. The SWPEF provides funds to support projects for the South Windsor Public Schools in order to enhance the learning experience and encourage academic excellence. The grants are available biannually and are intended for new programs and projects that would not be financed by Board of Education resources. The SWPEF accepts grant applications from any staff member within the South Windsor Public School system. Proposals should have clear goals, measurable outcomes, a reasonable budget, promote collaboration between school, home, and community, and have a broad impact in terms of number of students served and longevity within the district. Funding levels include mini-grants of less than $1000 and grants over $1000. Examples of eligible programs include curriculum resources not currently provided by the Board of Education, technological resources that enhance curriculum or instruction, multicultural programs, and workshops/training for staff members to implement new programs. The SWPEF does not support expenditures such as travel, salaries, consumable materials, or items given to participants as keepsakes or prizes.
