The Bronx Cultural Visions Fund (BCVF) seeks to support the development of new ideas and the production of new work in the performing arts, including but not limited to dance, music, theater, performance art, and multi-disciplinary performance work.

Details:
BCVF is open to Bronx-based emerging and mid-career individual artists and organizations with budgets of $250,000 or less. BCVF awards are intended to have a meaningful impact on an artist’s career or an organization’s development.
 The BCVF represents a significant investment in The Bronx’s performing arts scene, and the Bronx  Council of the Arts (BCA) will be developing long-term relationships with each grantee. They will remain actively engaged with applicants and grantees throughout the process, from the letter of intent through the realization of funded projects.
Funding Information
There are two branches of BCVF grants:

Concept Development grants will award up to $10,000 to grantees with compelling ideas in need of seed funding. Concept Development grantees will be eligible to apply for Production grants in the following grant cycle.
Production grants will award up to $20,000 grantees who are ready to produce an already completed work.
Grantees will be required to participate in at least three BCVF cohort meetings during the one-year grant period. 

Eligibility Criteria

Will a BCVF award meaningfully impact your career, or your organization’s development? Is the work you are proposing intended to be performed live, for a live audience? Can you show proof of Bronx residency/incorporation? Then you can apply! (IF you are not currently a grantee of The Howard Gilman Foundation.)
Applicants will be required to show proof of Bronx residency and/or incorporation that matches the application address. Independent producers, festivals, and curators are not eligible.
Individuals, Ensembles, And Collectives can apply if:

you identify as an emerging or mid-career performing arts practitioner
you/the lead ensemble member is a Bronx County resident
you/all ensemble members are 18+ years old
you have generated/will be developing the concept or idea yourself

Organizations can apply if:

you have been incorporated as a nonprofit for at least one year
your most recent annual budget is $250,000 or less
you are located in The Bronx, with a Bronx mailing address
you are the entity producing/developing the performance
