FY25 Translational Research Grant (TRG) Cycle 1
This funding opportunity supports university researchers in developing and commercializing life sciences inventions to advance their practical applications and attract potential investors.
Description
The Translational Research Grant (TRG) program, managed by the North Carolina Biotechnology Center (NCBiotech), funds projects that explore commercial applications or initiate early commercial development of university-held life sciences inventions. The TRG program aims to transform basic research discoveries into product-focused translational research, generate data addressing product development milestones, and de-risk technology for commercial applications. It also seeks to enable strategic decision-making regarding further technology development and support technology licensing efforts by universities.
