The Business Pollution Prevention Program (BP3) offers technical and financial assistance to businesses in Ramsey and Washington counties to reduce the use of harmful chemicals, transition to safer alternatives, and install high-efficiency equipment. Priority is given to businesses owned by people of color or located in communities vulnerable to pollution. Funding may cover up to 75% of project costs, not exceeding $50,000. Projects must reduce targeted pollutants, meet zoning and building codes, and receive final approval from R&E. Eligible expenses include testing, equipment costs, installation, staff training, commissioning, decommissioning, and other approved expenses.
