This program provides free technical assistance to small Pennsylvania businesses to help them improve their operations and competitiveness by connecting them with expert resources and solutions for specific technical challenges.

Description

The Pennsylvania Technical Assistance Program (PennTAP) helps Pennsylvania companies improve their competitiveness, by providing a limited amount of free technical assistance to resolve specific technical questions or needs, while it facilitates connections to other relevant information, resources and/or programs. PennTAP is a statewide network of geographically-dispersed technical specialists with expertise in a variety of focus areas, including advanced information technology, environmental compliance, energy efficiency and conservation, operations improvement, occupational safety and health, product development, federal Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer proposal development, technology transfer and commercialization. The program focuses on smaller businesses that typically lack the expertise and/or resources to address these types of issues in-house.
