The Consumers Energy Foundation is offering grants for capital projects and program support in Michigan, with a focus on reducing poverty levels, protecting Michigan's environment, and promoting economic development. Priority areas include addressing basic needs, education, and workforce readiness to reduce poverty; preserving Michigan's land, water, and air; and supporting neighborhood revitalization, job growth, and arts and culture for economic development. Projects must contribute to these priorities and primarily benefit communities in Michigan's Lower Peninsula where Consumers Energy operates. However, organizations located outside this area may be considered if their programs significantly benefit the state and communities served by Consumers Energy.
