City of Philadelphia Anti-Violence Community Partnership Grants 2025
This funding opportunity supports community-led initiatives in Philadelphia that focus on violence prevention, youth engagement, and neighborhood improvement in areas most affected by gun violence.
Description
The City of Philadelphia's Anti-Violence Community Partnership Grants aim to support local initiatives that address violence prevention, enhance community capacity, and make lasting impacts in neighborhoods most affected by gun violence. Administered in partnership with the Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC), The Scattergood Foundation, and Equal Measure, the grants provide funding for a range of activities, including community engagement, educational events, job training, and neighborhood beautification.
There are two main grant types available:
Targeted Community Investment Grant (TCIG): Awards range from $1,500 to $50,000 for community-based programs that promote public safety, self-development, and stronger community ties in areas impacted by gun violence.
Community Expansion Grant (CEG): Provides funding between $100,000 and $1 million to organizations focused on violence reduction through trauma-informed practices, restorative justice, safe spaces, and mentorship.
Special consideration is given to projects in Philadelphia neighborhoods with high rates of gun violence, initiatives that cater to residents aged 16 to 34—particularly Black and brown boys—and previous grantees with a successful track record.
Eligible applicants must offer anti-violence programming within Philadelphia, be led by residents for residents, and have an operating budget under $15 million. Organizations should be a 501(c)(3), LLC, or B-Corp established for at least three years if requesting $20,000 or more. City of Philadelphia employees are ineligible to apply.
Application requirements include proof of tax status, financial documents, a proposed budget, bank account details, reference letters, and a list of board members (if applicable). Applications for the 2025 grant cycle are open, and submissions can be made online. For additional details, contact AntiViolenceGrants@phila.gov.
