Fish and Wildlife Mitigation Grants
This funding opportunity provides financial support for projects that protect and restore fish and wildlife resources affected by water management activities in Colorado.
Description
The Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) offers grants through the Fish and Wildlife Resources Fund to mitigate impacts on fish and wildlife resources resulting from the construction, operation, or maintenance of water diversion, delivery, or storage facilities. These grants support projects in two main categories: New Projects and Existing Projects. New Projects focus on addressing impacts from new water facilities and aiding declining or federally protected species. Existing Projects aim to mitigate impacts from current facilities through instream flow water rights acquisitions and river restoration. Applications are evaluated based on their alignment with state water policies and the Colorado Water Plan.
