Extreme Small Business Makeover and Grant Program

Level Up LB: Extreme Small Business Makeover and Grant Program is a small business accelerator program designed to support entrepreneurs and help 20 selected small businesses in Long Beach achieve growth and long-term sustainability. This initiative, now in its second cohort, provides participating businesses with comprehensive technical assistance, workshops, and $10,000 in grant funding upon successful completion of the program.

The program helps business owners refine their business plans, develop effective marketing strategies, review financials, evaluate sales metrics, and set growth benchmarks. It is intended to help small businesses identify strategies to reach their next level of development. The program focuses on business planning, financial analysis, and marketing support, making it a strong fit for businesses looking to strengthen operations and scale up.

Applications are open through March 20, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Businesses will be scored and selected based on factors such as business need, readiness to participate, and the potential impact of the program on the business. The ten-week program includes workshops and personalized technical assistance, after which participating businesses will receive a $10,000 grant.
