Listos California Regional Grant (LM) Program – Coast

The Listos California Regional Grant (LM) Program – Coast is a funding opportunity managed by the Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES). The program aims to support nonprofit organizations within California's Coastal Region that focus on disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation. It specifically targets nonprofits that serve multiple counties within areas at moderate to high risk of disaster and have equity priority factors. These organizations can either work independently or partner with local nonprofits to provide disaster training and resources to communities disproportionately impacted by emergencies.

Eligible applicants are required to be nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status, and they must serve at least two counties within the Coastal Region of California. The eligible counties for this grant are Alameda, Contra Costa, Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Monterey, Napa, San Benito, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, and Sonoma. This wide range of counties ensures that diverse populations across the region can access resources to enhance their disaster preparedness and resilience.

The total estimated funding available for this grant is $1.5 million. Organizations can apply for awards ranging from $1 to $300,000, with a total of 1 to 5 awards expected to be distributed. The funding will be provided through advances and reimbursements. Importantly, there is no requirement for matching funds for applicants. The grant allows for flexibility in spending, as it supports disaster training, resource provision, and activities aimed at increasing communities' disaster resilience.

The application process does not require a Letter of Intent, and there is no match funding required. Applicants must review the full grant guidelines before applying to ensure they meet the criteria and understand the process. The application deadline is set for April 8, 2025, at 5:00 PM. Following the application deadline, award announcements are expected to be made by June 1, 2025. The period of performance for awarded projects will be from June 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026.
